Ross Journey

Ross Cadastre, is a dynamic leader and entrepreneur with deep roots in the coastal community of Anse La Raye, Saint Lucia. His journey began with a bold move to Canada in pursuit of higher education—one that laid the foundation for a standout career in business and recruitment. After returning to Saint Lucia post-graduation, Ross later made the life-changing decision in the 1990s to immigrate permanently to Canada, seeking brighter prospects for himself and his family.

Ross built a stellar corporate career leading national and global companies through periods of intense growth. Working in senior leadership roles, he consistently delivered results—driving expansion, building high-performance teams, and scaling recruitment operations across North America.

In 2017, Ross transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding Innovative Talent Solutions (ITS Global). He followed that success with the launch of Kontingence Recruitment in 2019 and Innovative Technology Strategies in 2023, each representing a strategic step in delivering end-to-end talent and technology services.

In 2020, following the murder of George Floyd and a global reckoning with racial injustice, Ross felt a personal responsibility to drive meaningful change. Determined to make a lasting impact, he founded BIPOCJobs.ca—a job platform focused on connecting underrepresented talent with inclusive employers. What started as a response to systemic inequity has since grown into a national movement promoting diversity, equity, and economic empowerment through employment.

Today, Ross serves as Partner and Vice President, Client Engagement at MIR Digital Solutions, where he leads the professional resourcing division and drives client success while launching tech-enabled recruitment services and growth strategies.

A lifelong basketball enthusiast, Ross credits the sport with shaping his leadership philosophy. “Basketball taught me how to lead,” he says, “but entrepreneurship showed me why.” His ventures reflect that ethos—team-first, growth-oriented, and purpose-driven.

Ross is also Co-founder of Catalyze Carib, a virtual services platform enabling Caribbean professionals to work remotely for international clients, and Board Director of the DX Alliance Talent Community, a regional initiative connecting Caribbean tech talent with global opportunities.

Beyond business, Ross is a committed community builder. He currently serves as President of the Whitby Chamber of Commerce and is the former Board Chair of the Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA). He is also the former President of both the St. Lucia Toronto Association (SLTA) and the Council of Caribbean Associations Canada (CCAC), and was a founding member of the OECS Working Group, focused on strengthening diaspora collaboration across the Eastern Caribbean.

Ross is now building a Diaspora Investment Fund and Incubator to support entrepreneurship in the Caribbean, providing mentorship, capital, and access to global markets.
